Singapore Airlines Cargo, known in the market as SIA Cargo, is the freight arm of Singapore Airlines Limited, headquartered at Airline Road in Singapore. From July 2001 until the end of March 2018 SIA Cargo was a standalone subsidiary; on 1 April 2018 it was re-integrated as a division of the parent company. Cargo therefore moves today under the Singapore Airlines air operator certificate: IATA code SQ, ICAO designator SIA, AWB prefix 618. The cargo division no longer holds an airline code of its own. The operating model combines dedicated freighters with bellyhold capacity. As at 31 March 2026 the freighter fleet comprised seven Boeing 747-400Fs with an average age of 22 years and four months. Singapore Airlines additionally operates five Boeing 777-200 freighters in a joint DHL-SIA livery under a crew and maintenance agreement with DHL Express signed in March 2022. On top of this comes bellyhold capacity on the passenger fleets of Singapore Airlines and Scoot. The order book contains seven Airbus A350Fs, whose entry into service is being prepared. The hub is Singapore Changi (SIN). According to the carrier, SIA Cargo serves more than 100 cities on freighters and in passenger aircraft, complemented by trucking to selected destinations. The European cargo headquarters sits at Brucargo at Brussels Airport, where Singapore Airlines has operated freighter flights since 4 September 1988. Relevant for forwarders are the specialised products: THRUCOOL for temperature-controlled pharmaceutical shipments across 23 stations, THRUFRESH for perishables across 17 stations, Swiftrider for urgent shipments with automatic booking confirmation up to 500 kilogrammes, plus programmes for dangerous goods and live animals. SIA Cargo was the first airline in Asia Pacific to obtain IATA CEIV Pharma certification in 2017 and was re-certified in 2020 and 2023. In FY2025/26 cargo flown revenue reached SGD 2,167 million and the cargo load factor stood at 56.3 percent.
