Estafeta Carga Aérea, S.A. de C.V. is the cargo airline of Mexico's Estafeta group, which has operated as a courier and parcel service in Mexico since 8 August 1979. The airline began scheduled operations in November 2000 and holds its own air operator certificate (AOC) issued by the Mexican civil aviation authority AFAC. In April 2025 it became a full member of IATA. US integrator UPS announced in July 2024 that it would acquire the Estafeta group; in September 2025 both sides declared the agreement terminated because not all closing conditions could be satisfied. Estafeta Carga Aérea therefore remains in Mexican ownership. The company flies exclusively with its own dedicated freighters. The fleet comprises six Boeing 737-400SF aircraft with a capacity of around 16 tonnes each (as of April 2025); average fleet age at that point was 28.2 years. Its main hub is Ponciano Arriaga International Airport in San Luis Potosí (SLP). According to the carrier's own figures, Estafeta serves twelve domestic destinations and one international route to the United States; the scheduled service to Miami (MIA) acts as the connecting point for Latin America, Europe and Asia. In July 2023 the company moved its Mexico City area operation to Felipe Ángeles International Airport (NLU), starting service there on 14 August 2023; the link to Hermanos Serdán Airport in Puebla (PBC) began on the same date. For forwarders: the IATA code is E7, the ICAO designator ESF and the AWB prefix 355. Alongside scheduled services, Estafeta offers charters for palletised and oversized freight as well as project cargo. The company is accredited by AFAC as an Operador de Carga Segura and holds TSA approval under the Cargo Security Program / Last Point Departure.
