EGYPTAIR CARGO Company is the freight arm of Egypt's EGYPTAIR Holding Company and was carved out of EGYPTAIR's existing cargo business in 2002. Ownership therefore rests indirectly with the Egyptian state. The business model has two pillars: its own dedicated freighters and the belly capacity of sister company EGYPTAIR Airlines. According to the carrier, the freighter fleet comprises three Airbus A330-200P2F with a commercial payload of 58.868 tonnes each; the fleet page carries no cut-off date, so the reference point is the retrieval date of 16 September 2026. Trade media additionally report a converted Boeing 737-800 and further A330 conversions, which the carrier does not yet show on its own fleet page. The hub is Cairo Airport (CAI), where EGYPTAIR CARGO runs its own cargo terminal rated at 120,000 tonnes a year; further terminals exist in Alexandria and Luxor, alongside the Perishable Center at Cairo Airport. By its own account the company reaches more than seventy scheduled international destinations in North America, Europe, Africa, the Gulf region and the Far East, partly through prorate agreements with other airlines. What matters to forwarders are the IATA code MS and AWB prefix 077; both are assigned to EGYPTAIR in the IATA member directory and apply to the freight company's air waybills. The three-letter ICAO designator MSX is so far carried only by specialist databases, with no first-hand confirmation available. Special products include pharma, perishables, live animals, dangerous goods, valuables, mail, courier and vehicles. The IATA CEIV Pharma certification was renewed on 29 April 2025 and the European RA3 status in March 2025. Outside Egypt, sales and handling run through general sales agents.
