Air Transport International, Inc. (ATI) is a United States cargo airline headquartered at 145 Hunter Drive in Wilmington, Ohio, and a wholly owned subsidiary of Air Transport Services Group, Inc. (ATSG), which has been owned by the infrastructure investor Stonepeak since April 2025. ATI holds its own FAR Part 121 air carrier certificate and is therefore an independent operator, not a sales brand. The U.S. Department of Transportation lists the company as operating, with Domestic and Foreign Scheduled authority, in its list of certificated U.S. air carriers dated 18 June 2025. The business model is pure contract flying. ATI operates on ACMI and CMI terms, as full charters and in so-called track programmes, that is recurring scheduled services tailored to customer specifications. Capacity is not sold to freight forwarders shipment by shipment: the carrier provides aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance, while the customer supplies the cargo and, depending on the contract, also handling and fuel procurement. Customers include express network operators, forwarders and the U.S. Department of Defense. In 2016 ATI became the first ATSG airline in the Prime Air network at the Wilmington hub. According to the carrier, the fleet comprises 44 Boeing 767-300 freighters, two Boeing 767-200 freighters and four Boeing 757-200 combis with 42 seats, which have served the U.S. Department of Defense for more than twenty years (retrieved 12 September 2026; the carrier publishes these counts without an as-of date). The operating base is Wilmington Air Park (ILN) in Ohio. For forwarders: ATI uses the IATA designator 8C and the ICAO designator ATN but operates neither its own shipment tracking nor its own booking channel. No own AWB prefix could be substantiated from reliable sources. Booking, air waybill and status enquiries therefore run through the contracting customer.
