Transport documentation refers collectively to this full body of written or digital records underpinning the legal and informational framework for freight forwarders, customs authorities, consignees, and insurers. Gaps or errors in any single document can trigger customs holds, complicate liability claims, or delay payment. Unlike transport documents – which refers to individual instruments such as the bill of lading or air waybill – transport documentation denotes the complete documentary package for a given shipment.
