A CIP practice error is a common mistake in applying the Incoterms CIP: non-compliance with insurance obligations (e.g., failing to insure the goods for at least 110% of the value or using inadequate insurance), incorrect designation of the named place or port of delivery, or misallocation of costs and transfer of risk under CIP.
