EXW practice error

An EXW practice error occurs when EXW is applied incorrectly. Under EXW, the seller's obligation is to make the goods available at their premises (or another named place). The seller is not responsible for loading the goods, export clearance, or arranging carriage; the buyer bears most responsibilities and the risk passes to the buyer when the goods are made available. Practice errors commonly involve assuming the seller will handle loading, export formalities, or other duties beyond the EXW obligation.
