Temperature-controlled product with active container leasing (RAP t2, RKN t2, PAP e2, RKN e1, Releye RAP, Releye RLP) and temperature-controlled storage from minus 20 to plus 25 degrees Celsius at more than 50 stations. Shipments must be tendered pre-cooled and only one temperature range is allowed per air waybill.
China Airlines Cargo è la divisione merci della taiwanese China Airlines Ltd. e opera con il codice IATA CI, il codice ICAO CAL e il prefisso AWB 297. La società è stata fondata il 16 dicembre 1959, è quotata in borsa dal 26 febbraio 1993 e ha sede a Taoyuan City, immediatamente accanto all'aeroporto di Taiwan Taoyuan. A differenza dei marchi puramente commerciali, China Airlines opera direttamente i propri aerei tutto-merci. Al 31 agosto 2026 la flotta del gruppo conta 84 velivoli, di cui 18 cargo: otto Boeing 747-400F e dieci Boeing 777F. Secondo la compagnia, China Airlines è l'unico vettore taiwanese a impiegare aerei cargo verso Europa, Americhe e Asia; le rotazioni europee sfruttano scali in Medio Oriente e in India per un carico su due tratte. Nei primi tre trimestri del 2025 il fatturato cargo del gruppo ha raggiunto 48,5 miliardi di TWD, in crescita del 13,7 per cento, con un coefficiente di carico del 66,6 per cento. Rilevante per gli spedizionieri: il vettore dispone di un proprio prefisso AWB 297 e gestisce l'e-AWB secondo il IATA Single Process, ma accetta esclusivamente spedizioni prepagate; il porto assegnato non è ammesso nella procedura e-AWB. Il traffico a temperatura controllata passa dal prodotto Cool Chain, con container attivi e magazzini termoregolati in oltre 50 scali. Merci pericolose e animali vivi sono trattati come prodotti speciali distinti.
