Fundada en 1998, fue la primera aerolínea china dedicada exclusivamente al transporte aéreo de mercancías y correo. El modelo operativo se apoya en dos pilares. Primero, los aviones cargueros propios: a finales de 2025 el grupo contaba con 18 Boeing 777F con una edad media de 4,25 años; tras una entrega adicional en febrero de 2026, a 27 de marzo de 2026 la flota era de 19 aparatos. Segundo, la bodega: el grupo comercializa en exclusiva la capacidad de los más de 800 aviones de pasajeros de China Eastern Airlines y, a través de SkyTeam, acuerdos de código compartido y acuerdos SPA, alcanza 945 destinos en 145 países y territorios.
