Qatar Airways Cargo

Qatar Airways Cargo is the freight division of Qatar Airways Group Q.C.S.C., based in Doha. It is not a separate legal airline: the operator and the party to the air waybill is the parent company, listed in the EASA register of third country operators under air operator certificate OT/002 with the trading name "Qatar Airways Cargo". The group is owned by the State of Qatar. The operating model combines its own freighters with belly capacity in the passenger network. As at 31 March 2026 the freighter fleet consisted of 30 Boeing 777Fs; the group had previously moved its freighter operation to a single aircraft type. The group's total fleet at the same date comprised 313 aircraft, of which 249 were passenger aircraft, 30 freighters and 34 executive jets. The hub is Hamad International Airport in Doha (DOH). From there the cargo division serves, according to its own figures, more than 70 freighter destinations and over 170 belly-hold destinations. In financial year 2025/26 (1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026) it carried 1.43 million tonnes of chargeable weight with a global market share of 12 per cent; reported cargo carried on a sector plus trucking weight basis was 2,820,465 tonnes. Cargo revenue amounted to QAR 16,213 million (USD 4,452 million). For forwarders: air waybills are issued under AWB prefix 157, the IATA designator is QR, the ICAO code QTR and the callsign QATARI. The e-AWB adoption rate reached 98 per cent in financial year 2025/26. Booking and shipment tracking run through the Digital Lounge portal. IATA CEIV Pharma and CEIV Live Animals certifications are documented. Since 2026 the company has been building a global cargo joint business with IAG Cargo and MASkargo, which entered a pilot phase after regulatory approvals in 57 markets.
