International transport law is the body of law that governs cross-border transport of goods and people. It covers international carriage contracts (including Incoterms), liability and insurance regimes, liability under international conventions (e.g., CMR for road transport, the Montreal Convention for air carriage), and rules governing liability, proof of loss, and dispute resolution in multimodal and intermodal transport chains.
