Indirect Freight Consolidation

Indirect freight consolidation is a logistics process whereby individual shipments from multiple shippers are initially collected at local receiving hubs, forwarded to a central consolidation facility, and there combined with other consignments before being transported in larger, cost-efficient aggregate loads along the main leg of the journey.
