Electronic import freight management refers to the integrated use of digital platforms to control all processes involved in import shipments—from document preparation and customs clearance through to goods receipt at the warehouse. Freight forwarders and shippers communicate electronically with customs authorities, shipping lines, carriers and warehouse operators instead of coordinating each step manually.
