Based in a third country, the freight forwarder manages the entire transport chain: booking, customs clearance at both origin and destination, multimodal coordination, and full documentation. Unlike standard export or import services, the coordinating forwarder has no commercial stake in the goods—acting purely as transport intermediary between foreign trading partners.
