Resumen

Grenada (ISO code: GD) is an island state in the eastern Caribbean, south of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, comprising the main island plus Carriacou and Petite Martinique. Politically it is a parliamentary democracy within the Commonwealth. The climate is tropical with a marked rainy and dry season and an Atlantic hurricane season from June to November. The economy rests on agriculture, services and tourism, with nutmeg, spices and cocoa as key exports, while the country relies heavily on imports of food, fuel and industrial goods. The Port of St. George's and Maurice Bishop International Airport secure the country's transit and logistics functions. The national currency is the East Caribbean Dollar (XCD), pegged to the US dollar within the OECS/ECCU framework.
