The Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) is a free-trade agreement between the European Union and Canada. It seeks to eliminate tariffs on about 98 % of goods, reduce non-tariff barriers, and harmonize investment and services regulations to improve market access and foster closer economic cooperation.
