An EU free trade agreement is a treaty between the European Union (and possibly its member states) and one or more trading partners that reduces or eliminates tariffs and other trade barriers, establishes rules of origin, harmonizes customs procedures, and addresses non-tariff barriers to facilitate cross-border trade in goods and services.
