ULD Tare Weight

The weight of packaging, pallets, or containers that is subtracted from gross weight to obtain the net weight.

Net weight is the weight of goods excluding packaging materials, loading aids (e.g., pallets), and any other ancillary items.

The net weight of a ULD is the weight of the cargo contained in the ULD, i.e., the payload weight, excluding the ULD's own tare weight.
