A small parts warehouse is a storage area designated for storing and managing small, relatively light and frequently required components, assemblies or spare parts maintained in large quantities and readily available for order picking, production or assembly. It is characterized by specialized storage and handling equipment such as shelving systems, bins, pick-by-light systems and automated small parts storage systems (AS/RS).
