Before a truck leaves the loading bay or a container is sealed, two complementary methods must work in tandem: shoring – using wedges, dunnage beams, blocking timber, or airbags – prevents cargo from tipping or shifting within the load unit, while lashing straps, nets, and ratchet tensioners secure it against the vehicle structure.
