It measures the share of planned shipments that are fully picked, accurately packed, and staged for dispatch within the agreed timeframe. A rate of 95 % means five out of 100 orders were late, incomplete, or incorrectly prepared at the warehouse level. Tracked daily or weekly, this KPI gives fulfillment managers a precise view of warehouse execution quality. Unlike the fill rate or on-time delivery rate – which are measured at the customer end – the shipping readiness rate isolates warehouse performance as a standalone variable.
