Reefer container security systems are technical and organizational measures to safeguard temperature-controlled containers (reefers) against unauthorized access, tampering, and theft during transport. They also ensure the integrity of the cold chain by monitoring temperature, location, and environmental parameters through locking mechanisms, sensors, alarm functions, GPS tracking, and cloud-based management platforms, in compliance with international regulations such as SOLAS and C-TPAT.
