Reefer Cargo Terminal Electrification Projects are initiatives aimed at replacing diesel-powered generator sets and infrastructure in refrigerated cargo terminals with electric power sources and shore power connections, enabling refrigerated containers (‘reefers’) to be powered via clean electricity during storage, loading, and unloading operations, thereby reducing greenhouse gas emissions, air pollution, and operational costs.
