Pipeline Freight Network Electrification

The process of converting the propulsion systems (compressors and pumps) in pipeline infrastructure—used for transporting liquid or gaseous goods—from diesel or gas engines to grid-connected or renewable-powered electric drives. The aim is to enhance energy efficiency and reduce CO₂ emissions in the pipeline freight network.
