Payload limit

The payload limit is the maximum permissible payload a vehicle can carry. It is calculated as the difference between the vehicle’s gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) and its curb weight (tare weight). It defines the additional weight that may be added without exceeding the allowable gross weight.
