EN 12642 XL is a European standard for reinforced curtain-sided bodies (tautliners) on trucks and trailers. The XL specification requires higher side‐wall stiffness, capable of withstanding a minimum lateral test load of 50 kN at the roof rail, enabling direct load securing against the tarpaulin.
