Non-Tariff Barrier Compliance in Freight Trade refers to the processes and measures by which freight carriers, forwarders, and shippers ensure that goods transported internationally adhere to all applicable non-tariff barriers (NTBs), such as quotas, licensing requirements, technical regulations, sanitary and phytosanitary standards, and other administrative controls, in order to avoid trade disruptions, penalties, or shipment delays.
