A mutual legal assistance procedure is a formal process whereby one authority in a country requests legal assistance from an authority in another country. The aim is to obtain cross-border evidence, service of documents, execution of judgments, or other administrative-judicial actions in civil, criminal, or administrative matters that affect logistics or cross-border operations.
