Unlike company-level environmental certification, green freight eco-labeling applies at the shipment level: individual consignments or transport corridors receive a label when their greenhouse gas emissions—expressed as CO₂ equivalents per tonne-kilometer—fall below defined thresholds or outperform a benchmark transport.
