Quelle: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knock-down_kit
A knock-down assembly center is a facility within the automotive supply chain where pre-packaged vehicle components (e.g. CKD or SKD kits) are received, stored and assembled into full parts or vehicles. Its purpose is to reduce logistics costs, comply with regional manufacturing requirements, and shorten response times to market demand.
