ISO 4217 is an international standard from the International Organization for Standardization that defines three-letter currency codes (and corresponding numeric codes) and the minor unit of each currency. It is used to unambiguously identify currencies in financial transactions, trade, and logistics, and to standardize currency amounts and billing.
