International Road Transport Law encompasses the body of international and supranational laws, conventions and regulations governing cross-border road freight transport. It includes instruments such as the CMR Convention (the contract for the international carriage of goods by road), liability rules, carrier and shipper obligations, driving time and rest period regulations, permits, customs and safety requirements, and the legal relationships among consignor, carrier, and consignee.
