Examples include licensing manufacturing processes, sharing operational databases, or transferring brand rights to a distribution partner. Unlike tangible commodities, intangible transfers are governed by different customs, tax, and intellectual property regulations; their valuation often depends on transfer pricing agreements or comparable licensing agreements.
