In international trade, Incoterms in a sales contract allocate the obligations, costs and risks between the seller and the buyer. The chosen Incoterms rule specifies who must arrange and pay for transport, export and import clearance, insurance, and where delivery takes place; it also defines the point at which risk transfers.
