During the picking process, warehouse staff must verify that each scanned or retrieved item matches the pick list – a successful match or "hit". A positive hit confirms that the correct item in the correct quantity has been identified at the correct time. Conversely, a "no-hit" signals that a required item is unavailable or an incorrect item was identified.
