As soon as dangerous goods arrive at a seaport terminal, a multi-stage processing procedure is set in motion: document verification covering the Dangerous Goods Declaration, UN number, and packing group; physical condition inspection; segregated storage by hazard class; and handling in full compliance with the IMDG Code – all coordinated among the carrier, terminal operator, and customs authorities.
