The Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) is a regulation issued by the US Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) (29 CFR 1910.1200) requiring employers to inform and train employees about the hazards of chemicals in the workplace and to ensure hazard communication through labeling, safety data sheets, and training.
