Dangerous goods are substances and articles which, because of their physical, chemical or biological properties – such as flammability, explosiveness, toxicity or radioactivity – pose a hazard to health, safety, the environment or property during transport and are therefore subject to specific national and international regulations (e.g. ADR, RID, IMDG).
