A front company is a legitimate-looking company used to conceal the true identity, ownership, or purpose of transactions or assets, enabling illicit activities, sanctions or tax evasion, or concealment of illicit origins; in logistics it may be used to mask the beneficial owner or to facilitate shipments through opaque channels.
