Friendshoring

A logistics and supply-chain strategy that shifts production and sourcing away from politically distant or adversarial countries to trusted, aligned partner countries (the 'friends') in order to reduce geopolitical risk, supply disruptions, and dependency, often through nearshoring or reshoring to friend countries.
