Under FOB (Free On Board), the seller bears all costs up to and including rendering the goods on board the vessel at the named port of shipment. From the moment the goods are on board, the buyer assumes the costs of freight, insurance (if insured separately), and all subsequent charges. Risk transfers from seller to buyer at the point the goods are loaded on the vessel.
