FAS loading time

Under Free Alongside Ship (FAS), the seller's obligation is to place the goods alongside the vessel at the named port of shipment, cleared for export. The buyer bears all risks and costs from that point, including the loading of the goods onto the vessel. The term 'FAS loading time' refers to the period required to load the goods onto the ship once they have been placed alongside the vessel; typically, loading costs and risks are for the buyer unless otherwise agreed.
