Under FAS (Free Alongside Ship), the seller delivers when the goods are placed alongside the vessel at the named port of shipment and cleared for export. Risk passes to the buyer at that point; the buyer bears all costs and risks from that moment, including loading and onward transport from the quay to the destination.
