When less-than-container-load (LCL) consignments from multiple shippers arrive at an export packing consolidation center, a multi-step process begins: destination-country packaging requirements are verified, mandatory shipping and dangerous goods marks are applied, packing lists and customs documents are prepared – and finally the individual shipments are consolidated into full container loads (FCL) and loaded.
