Emission Monitoring Cargo Vessels refers in logistics and maritime transport to the systematic process of measuring, monitoring, and reporting air pollutant and greenhouse gas emissions (especially CO2) from the propulsion and operation of cargo ships. Its aim is to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g. the EU MRV Regulation) and to reduce the environmental impact of maritime freight transport.
