An electronic bill of lading (e-B/L) is the digital counterpart to the traditional bill of lading, serving as a legally binding transport document and title to goods. It evidences receipt of cargo, records contract of carriage details, and acts as a document of title, but is issued, transferred, and stored electronically rather than on paper.
