CPT pre-carriage

The CPT pre-carriage refers to the pre-carriage phase within the CPT Incoterm. The seller contracts and pays for the transport up to the first carrier (pre-carriage to the first carrier). Risk transfers to the buyer when the goods are handed over to the first carrier; the main carriage to the named destination is covered under CPT.
