The CMR liability cap is the statutory upper limit on the carrier's liability in international road transport under the CMR Convention. It limits the carrier's liability to a maximum amount per unit of gross weight of the goods or per package, regardless of the actual damage, unless the carrier's fault is proven or higher coverage/value has been declared.
