An Automated Truck Weighing Station is a sensor-equipped installation that records the gross vehicle weight and individual axle loads of heavy goods vehicles either statically, with the vehicle at rest, or dynamically while in motion – the latter known as a Weigh-in-Motion (WIM) system.
