Apron safety refers to the set of safety practices and controls governing operations on the airport apron – the area where aircraft are parked, loaded, refueled, or serviced. It includes pedestrian and vehicle separation, hazard management, visibility, communications, and protections against risks such as jet blast, ground vehicle movements, and hazardous materials.
